A Great Opportunity to Get Involved in the Fibrolamellar Fight!

The Department of Defense (DOD) is seeking 2019 PATIENT & CAREGIVER Grant reviewers for four cancer categories appropriate for the Fibro community:

1.Cancer in Children, Adolescents and young adults
2. Liver Cancer
3. Immunotherapy
4. Rare Cancers (New Category)

Friends from this fibrolamellar community have been very active participants over the past four years and the new categories make this initiative even more meaningful in helping the DOD determine allocation of $90 million in cancer research funds. This is a $30 million increase since we started participating in 2016.

FCF will be happy to write a letter of recommendation for those interested in participating and put you in touch with previous reviewers connected with FCF. Deadline to apply is May 31, 2019. Feel free to contact Lynn O’Malley, [email protected] with any questions FCF may be able to answer.

Individuals wishing to serve as a Reviewer are required to submit the following:

  1. The electronic nomination form, to be completed and sent by the nominee (attached)
  2. A current resume to be sent by the nominee
  3. A letter of nomination, from your organization, describing the nominee’s advocacy work and potential to represent the cancer community’s voice.  This letter may be sent to us directly by your organization, or electronically provided to the nominee to include in their packet. It should be on letterhead and contain your contact information.
