SUMMARY:AYAs' Priorities for Care While Living with Advanced Cancer
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\nPlease join this Zoom event sponsored by Elephants an
 d Tea.&nbsp\; Dr. Jennifer Mack will lead a presentation/discussion on hig
 h quality care for AYAs with cancer.\n\n\n\nQuality measures have been dev
 eloped for older adults with advanced cancer\, but AYAs’ preferences for
  care may differ. The Elephants and Tea team worked to develop a patient-c
 entered definition of high quality care for AYAs with advanced cancer. Usi
 ng interviews with AYAs\, family caregivers\, and clinicians\, they identi
 fied 7 core domains of high quality care: Attention to physical symptoms\,
  attention to quality of life\, psychosocial and spiritual support\, commu
 nication and decision-making\, independence\, relationships with clinician
 s\, and medical care and treatment. Each of these areas will be discussed\
 , along with ways to support patient-centered care in each domain.\n\n\n\n
