David Wermuth holds a B.A. from Yale University, an M.B.A. from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. David is a Senior Principal of Stone Point and a member of the Investment Committees of the Trident Funds. He joined Stone Point in 1999 from Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton LLP where from 1996 to 1999 he was a corporate attorney specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Cleary Gottlieb, David served as a law clerk to a federal judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as an auditor for KPMG.
