Dr. Scott is Professor and Chair of Pharmacology at the University of Washington School of Medicine (Seattle, WA). For more than four decades he has been a world leader in elucidating the regulation of cellular activities by protein kinase A (PKA). His fibrolamellar carcinoma (FLC) research focuses on how an aberrant version of PKA, which is responsible for nearly every case of this cancer, rewires affected cells’ gene expression to drive malignant transformation and uncontrolled tumor growth. He serves as a key leader of the FCF’s program to discover targeted therapies for FLC.
