Organized by Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes guitarist Glenn Alexander, the eighth annual Pig Gig returns on Sun., Oct. 22, 2023 from 2pm to 8pm at the Italian American Hall in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Pig Gig is an annual benefit held in honor of Glenn’s nephew, Jay, who lost his battle to FLC in 2011. All profits go to the FCF and go directly for research in finding treatments and – hopefully, one day – a cure.
According to Glenn,
“In addition to all of the food you can eat, we’ll also have all of the beer and wine you can drink! And if that’s not enough, we have music, music, music all day long! At press time, our performer lineup includes: The Lonesome Pines, Blue Americana, The Weeklings and of course, Shadowland, with special guest Southside Johnny! We’ll also have silent auction items, including a private show with Blue Americana and many more great items. You won’t want to miss it, we plan on making Pig Gig 8 bigger and better than ever! Doors open at 2pm and we won’t stop rockin’ until 8pm. We love seeing everyone come out for this great cause, so please make plans to join us on October 22nd .…”
