Please join this Zoom event sponsored by Elephants and Tea.  Dr. Jennifer Mack will lead a presentation/discussion on high quality care for AYAs with cancer.

Quality measures have been developed for older adults with advanced cancer, but AYAs’ preferences for care may differ. The Elephants and Tea team worked to develop a patient-centered definition of high quality care for AYAs with advanced cancer. Using interviews with AYAs, family caregivers, and clinicians, they identified 7 core domains of high quality care: Attention to physical symptoms, attention to quality of life, psychosocial and spiritual support, communication and decision-making, independence, relationships with clinicians, and medical care and treatment. Each of these areas will be discussed, along with ways to support patient-centered care in each domain.
